I made NEEDSOME because everything else sucked.

The real story behind the gummy.

Stephen, Mary, and the dogs

The Short Version

I'm Stephen. I run NEEDSOME.

Before this, I worked in marketing, building brands, managing campaigns, switching between priorities all day. The kind of work where the to-do list never actually ends. And somewhere between deadlines, client calls, and trying to walk my two dogs (Struggs, a German Shorthair who doesn't believe in rest days, and Greta, a Golden Retriever who believes every day is the best day), I was also trying to work out five days a week.

So yeah, I needed energy. A lot of it.

The Caffeine Problem

Too much caffeine. Not enough energy.

My solution was caffeine. Two energy drinks a day, minimum. Plus preworkout before the gym. That's a lot of stimulant running through one person.

And for all that caffeine? I still crashed. Still felt groggy by 3pm. Still had those nights where my brain wouldn't shut off even though my body was done. I just kept adding more, hoping the next can would be the one that actually worked.

Then it got personal.

My girlfriend is an ER nurse. She used to drink coffee to get through 12-hour shifts, until one day, caffeine gave her a heart-racing, near panic attack. After that, anything more than a soda would trigger anxiety, racing heart, the whole thing. But she still needed energy. You don't get to be tired when you're working 12+ hours in an emergency room.

We both needed something different. Caffeine wasn't it.

The Discovery

Your body already knows paraxanthine.

Looking for an alternative is how I found paraxanthine.

If you haven't heard of it — your body already knows it. When you drink coffee, your liver breaks caffeine down into paraxanthine. It's the part of caffeine that gives you the energy. Without the jitters. Without the crash. Without the anxiety.

So I ordered some capsules and we both tried them.

It worked. I got clean, focused energy without the crash I'd been living with for years. My girlfriend took it the day before a shift (just to be safe) and felt nothing bad, no racing heart, no anxiety. Just energy.

But I thought it could be better.

The Format

A tub of powder doesn't fit in your pocket.

I travel a decent amount, and I like to train when I do. But try bringing a tub of preworkout through TSA. Try making room for it in a carry-on. Or try paying $4 for a single scoop at whatever gym you're visiting. Or $3.99 for a gas station energy drink that's half sugar.

So I tried energy gummies. Loved the idea, just toss a few in your bag and go. No shaker, no water, no fridge.

The problem? They tasted awful. Like a chore. And the formulas were weak, low-dose caffeine, trace amounts of ingredients that need way more to actually do anything. I was forcing myself to chew through a pack of bad-tasting gummies for energy that barely showed up.

It's a gummy. It shouldn't feel like torture to eat a gummy.

I'd tried the energy drinks. The preworkout. The pills. The gummies. They all had the same problems, too much caffeine, not enough formula, bad taste, bad format, or some combination of all of them.

But I knew a better ingredient existed. And I knew a better format existed. Someone just needed to put them together and actually make it taste good.

So I did.

Energy shouldn't be complicated.

NEEDSOME exists because energy should be simple. Rip open a pouch. Chew five gummies. Move on with your day.

No cans. No scoops. No shaker bottles. No crash. No anxiety. No 47-ingredient panels full of stuff you can't pronounce.

Just a clinically dosed formula built around paraxanthine, the clean energy molecule your body already knows, in a format you can take anywhere and actually look forward to.

We built this for the nurse pulling doubles. The founder running on six hours. The student in the library at midnight. The parent who hasn't sat down since 6am. The person at the gym who doesn't want to mix powder in a parking lot.

If you need energy, you need some.

Try it. That's all we ask.

5 gummies. 200mg paraxanthine. No crash. No caffeine. Tastes like a gummy should.
